Proposal
for Austin
Art in Public Places
I'm collaborating with a team of artists on a project coinciding with the renovation
of a recreation center in Zilker park.

It's going to be a sort of sculpture/bench hybrid, built out of concrete block
and covered with tile.
Eventually we will work with the clients served by the recreation center to
come up with the concept and images that will activate the surface. For now
we are looking at native plants and the inspiration of the poetry of Larry
Eigner.
Our team includes 2 tile/ceramics/mosaic experts and I am psyched that we are
going to come up with something awesome.

Green Echo Inc. also wanted to make a website heavy on images.
I also set up a Flickr account and Youtube channel for them so
that they can change the images and create new slideshows.

assignment: a quick drawing of "a fox on a grassy wooded hill.
His snout is pointed skyward, and he's blowing
mixed green-blue flames into the night sky as a signal for his kind.
An eight year old boy is watching him from the bushes."
